It is the policy of Southwest Airlines that, if there is a cancellation, credit is issued relative to the confirmation number and not to the name on the ticket. This means that, if a traveler cancels a university paid reservation, the university can use the credit towards a future booking under a new name, even to a different destination. You will need the original confirmation number and the name of the original billing party (institution and/or department) in order to use the funds. The credit is good for one year from date of issue. |
